           | Description |

English: A world map displaying those countries lived in or visited by the revolutionary Che Guevara in red. Also included are the three nations where he engaged in armed revolution, signified in green.
              - NOTE: All nations are displayed with current 2010 borders. However, Guevara's travels took place from around 1950-1967 (the year of his death), and if Guevara visited the U.S.S.R. for example, then all of those nations included in the U.S.S.R. at that time are shaded here in red. Some examples include his visit to East Germany resulting in the shading of all current day Germany, and his 1964 visit to New York City and 1952 month in Miami, Florida - resulting in the full shading of the United States. The duration of time also varies greatly between years, weeks and days in the various countries.

              - An array of sources were used to compile the nations included. Some of these are Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life by Jon Lee Anderson, Companero: The Life and Death of Che Guevara by Jorge G. Castaneda and Guevara, Also Known as Che by Paco Ignacio Taibo II.
